Who we are

SimpleCortex is a full-service brand, web, and business consulting firm serving small businesses in Northern Virginia — including Fairfax County, Virginia, Loudoun County, Virginia, Prince William County, Virginia. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: when you send it to us through a form, automatically through analytics, and through standard server logs.

Contact and intake forms (Tally)

Our contact and proposal forms are built with Tally, a form service. When you submit a form, Tally collects your answers on our behalf and we receive them. Depending on the form, that includes:

• Contact form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message.
• Request-a-proposal form: your name, company name, business email, optional phone number and website, and the details you share about your business, project, budget, and timeline — including any files you choose to upload.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages visited, time on page, approximate location, device and browser type. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to do this. We use this data in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you personally.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, request time, pages requested) for security and reliability purposes.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiries and proposal requests.
• To provide and deliver the services you engage us for.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To send you marketing communications — only if you have asked us to or otherwise opted in. You can opt out at any time.

Third-party service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run this site. Each receives only the data it needs to do its job:

• Tally — hosts and processes our contact and intake forms.
• Google Analytics — website usage analytics.
• Hostinger — our website hosting provider.

Cookies and analytics choices

The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics. You can opt out in several ways:

• Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this.
• Use your browser’s private or incognito mode, which discards cookies when you close the window.

Advertising pixels

We do not currently use advertising cookies or pixels on this site. If we begin advertising in the future (for example, Google Ads or Meta), we may add their measurement pixels — and we will update this policy to disclose them before or when we do.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With the service providers listed above, so they can operate the site and forms on our behalf.
• When required by law — for example, to comply with a valid legal request.

Data retention and security

We keep form submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you, provide services, and maintain business records — and we delete them when they are no longer needed. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can access it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.

Your rights and choices

We are a Virginia business and we extend these commitments to everyone who uses this site. You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate.
• Delete the personal information you have given us.
• Stop sending you marketing communications.

Children’s privacy

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our forms, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for example, if we add new tools or advertising pixels — we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
